PARTICIPANTS OF THE INGO FORUM
The participants of the INGO Forum are individuals who have shown a keen interest in being part of the INGO Forum or supporting its activities. These participants are categorized into two groups:
1. Effective Members
Effective members of the INGO Forum are international or foreign recognized non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that are registered by the Government of Ghana. To become an effective member, organizations must apply for membership, receive approval from the INGO Forum, and pay annual membership fees within the designated period (based on the calendar year, from 1st January to 31st December).
2. Observers
Observers are organizations that support the activities of the INGO Forum. They can apply for observer status and, upon approval by the INGO Forum, actively engage in and contribute to the forum’s initiatives and discussions.
Fostering Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange
We provide a trusted platform for international NGOs to connect, share experiences, and exchange ideas. Through regular meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and joint initiatives, we strengthen partnerships and avoid duplication — ensuring more effective interventions.
Influencing Policy through Dialogue and Advocacy
We actively engage with the Government of Ghana, development partners, and civil society to advocate for policies that support inclusive development and humanitarian action. Our collective voice amplifies the role of INGOs in shaping national and sectoral priorities.Building Capacity for Greater Impact
The Forum promotes continuous learning and development among member organizations. Through workshops, training, and technical exchanges, we enhance the capacity of INGOs to respond to emerging challenges and deliver high-quality programs.
Promoting Inclusivity and a Rights-Based Approach
Our work is grounded in values of equality, human rights, and social justice. We champion gender equality and inclusive practices across all our initiatives, ensuring no one is left behind.Strengthening Partnerships with Local Actors
We prioritize collaboration with communities, local organizations, and government institutions. By working hand in hand with national stakeholders, we foster ownership, sustainability, and mutual accountability.
Responding Collectively to
Emerging Challenges

At the INGO Ghana Forum, we believe that by fostering collaboration and engagement among INGOs, we can amplify our impact and drive positive change in Ghana. This platform serves as a central hub where organizations can come together to discuss pertinent topics, share insights, and explore opportunities for collaboration
Through our discussions and interactions, we aim to facilitate meaningful exchanges of ideas, expertise, and resources. By harnessing the collective knowledge and experiences of our members, we can address common challenges, identify innovative solutions, and work towards sustainable development in Ghana.
